Elden Ring Nightreign: Why I do not play the game

Elden Ring is one of my favorite games. I love the challenge the game offers. Game provides challenge but it also gives you the tools to handle it.

I was looking forward to release of Elden Ring Nightreign. On the day the game was released, I was excited to embark another adventure. Very quickly I realized that this game is not for me. Here are reasons that I did not play it for more than 2-3 hours.

• The game is tuned for multi-player play style. At the time of release, the game is more attuned for 3 players.
• The game puts you into a time bound day-night cycle. There is no time for break. You just need to keep moving.
• The game requires a lot of coordination between all 3 players to move from location to location.

Let's look at impact of above factors. You will need 3 people of similar talent, means to coordinate and most important all 3 needs to have time to play together for extended period of time. You have to have lot of luck to find a party of 3 people who meet the criteria that I just mentioned.

I am more of a casual player who likes to take things slow and enjoy the moment. A game that is go-go-go theme, not for me. I do not play for more than 15-30 minutes at a stretch.

I am not saying that this game is bad. All I am saying is that this game is not for me. May be someday the game will be changed to the point where players like me I can play. Till then, happy hunting to you all.
